Boscobel Police Department Patrol Officer
The City of Boscobel Police Department is looking to fill Full-Time Vacancy and establish eligibility list for part-time officers.
Responsibilities include patrol duties, answering calls for service, traffic and ordinance enforcement.
Salary & Benefits: $25.57/hour (starting) with increase after one year probation period. Benefits include Wisconsin Retirement, health insurance, holiday pay, vacation, and sick time.
Qualifications: US citizen; Wisconsin Driver License; good driving record; good physical condition; eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification; 60 college credits; Associate Degree preferred; ability to possess a firearm; no felony convictions; no domestic abuse convictions; good verbal and written communication skills; ability to react quickly and effectively to stressful situations; able to work evening, weekends and holidays; knowledge and skills in operating computer systems; clear and concise speech; ability to perform essential functions of this position; ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment.

Bachelor’s degree, prefer Master’s Degree in Public Administration / related and three-year municipal administration experience. Plans, coordinates and directs municipal administration under policy guidance and supervision of the Mayor and City Council.
Desire an individual with expertise in industrial and community development, human resources, with the ability to demonstrate a successful record of achieving program and financial objectives, including grant writing and capital improvement execution. The successful candidate will be an honest individual with integrity, open and positive communication skills, innovative and strong leadership skills and a collaborative style in working with the Mayor, City Council and an experienced professional staff. Salary commensurate on qualifications and experience.
