Tornado Warnings
When tornado warnings are issued by the National Weather Service, the fire sirens in the City of Boscobel will blow a long sustained wail. Tornado warnings are broadcast on all the local radio stations and are posted on the Grant County Scanner Facebook page.
If you need shelter, please go to Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital, 205 Parker Street, and someone will be happy to provide you with shelter.
The tornado sirens in the City are tested on a regular basis. Notices regarding scheduled testing of sirens are printed in the Boscobel Dial newspaper, are posted at City Hall, and are announced on the local radio stations.
See the National Weather Service Tornado information page for more about tornado safety, the differences between “watches” and “warnings” and what to do if a tornado strikes.
